After my daughter’s school we had lunch at Gerry’s Grill in SM City Fairview Annex because my sister missed her favorite Spicy Adobo Shreds that can only be found there. It was new to my daugther’s taste but she liked it after a couple of tries tasting it. It’s best paired with vinegar to eat alone with your favorite beer or eat with rice. I guess it got the thumbs-up from my daughter because she likes spicy, garlicky food and not to mention she loves vinegar like I do. The Spicy Adobo Shreds which is made of pork are Gerry’s Grills version of Adobo flakes and a different twist to the famous Filipino recipe Pork Adobo.

Spicy Adobo Shreds @ P185 or almost $4

I’m not so much in shell foods but their Baked Scallops for P225 a serving or about $4.75 is so yummy. I love the garlicky cheesy toppings on it.

Pinakbet Tagalog or Pakbet Tagalog for P130 or for $3.8. Is delectable as well. I am a big fan of garlic. I love how the vegetables are cooked just right and not overcooked . The ampalaya (bitter gourd), okra (ladies finger), talong (egg plant), sitaw (string beans) are still a little crunchy. This one is Pinakbet Tagalog because the Pinakbet Ilocano is different and they use a different type of bagoong (shrimp paste)

Now this LaPaz Batchoy sold at P95 or more than $2 upsets me so much. My daughter is a big fan of soups and noodles especially Batchoy but she didn’t like this one. I would have to agree though because the soup taste like the broth from soiled socks boiled in water. It didn’t even look that apealing in photos. I wish they do something with this batchoy. It’s made of some LaPaz noodles, chicharon, egg, garlic and I don’t know what kind of broth they used.
