Eversince Selecta came out with their Hersheys icecream line, every trip to the supermarket/grocery will always lead me and my daughter to the icecream selection. The daughter’s favorite is the Hersheys Kisses flavor. But when I introduce her the new Selecta limited edition Heath flavor that became the new favorite.

Customized Cupcakes, Cookies and Lollipops

I attended a makeup preview party for Benefit Cosmetics Philippines and I can’t help but adore those lovely customized cupcakes, cookies and lollipops they served at the event.

They had cookies made to look like one of the supermodels, while some were topped with cartons bearing images of the supermodels. I also love the lollipops that are not actually candies but lollipop cakes.

The pearl was actually candy intimidating at first but yummy on first bite! Haha!

I would like to have customized cakes for my daughter’s 10th birthday! Oh my! That will be next month!

I got the price list but forgot where I put them, I will update you all soon. I wonder if they can make cakes to look like a Battery charger I want to have some customized for a tech event party!

Ming Garden’s Siomai

Ming Garden makes the best Siomai ever. I was there a couple days ago and I can’t help but go back to the buffet table and get myself as much siomai as I can. Unlike the other siomai available, theirs is not starchy, which makes it really good. However, you can only eat so much. After 8 large pieces I can’t have more of it anymore. There is this “umay” factor, a taste that will make you get tired of it. Its good but don’t eat too much. Because anything in excess is not really good. Lesson learned.

It’s also like learning how not to wear fishnet body suit in Metro Manila unless you are going to a costume party as Lady Gaga or you want to come off as a club dancer.

Cafe Mary Grace @ Greenbelt

Aside from great food, I also love to dine in a restaurant with nice interiors. It enhances the dining experience. When I drop by for dinner at Cafe Mary Grace in Greenbelt, Makati the first thing I noticed before anything else was the countryside type interiors which is very cute.

Pinakbet in two ways, sinigang ng ilocano or sinigang ng tagalog.

Opus Bar and Lounge

I wasn’t impressed when I first came at Opus Bar and Lounge at Resorts World in Manila. It was too small and it was stinking with smoke inside out. It was disgusting and unacceptable for someone who doesn’t smoke like me. But I had to endure because I was there for an event.

Probably there were a lot who complained about the smell. When I got there a few weeks ago it was no longer smokey and and its cleaner. Food was great too. The wines were superb and I think this will make it to the gifts for his birthday basket!

Chef Series at Eastwood Mall Atrium

I was invited to attend Eastwood Mall’s Chef Series where esteemed chefs will showcase their style of cooking. The series started October 27 with Chef Jonathan Bautista of CCA/Cravings as the first to give tips to cooking enthusiast. I wasn’t able to attend as this week was full. I also wasn’t able to attend Chef Jun Jun Ocampo of Blackwood Bistro. But hopefully on November 16 I can attend as it will Chef Sau Del Rosario to give some amazing cooking tips. How I wish there was a low cost conference call available so I can still see what’s happening or have an interview with the Chef guest for the Chef Series.

The Establishment at the Fort Strip

I was invited to an intimate dinner with the famous doctor to the stars Dr. Vicky Belo together with two of her two best clients and endorsers Zsazsa Padilla and Albert Martinez at the Establishment yesterday and it was a blast. I was with a very few bloggers only 6 of us there, the famous Chuvaness, Fashion Police, Shens, Liz, Eric, Bridget and me. Daphne Osnea was suppose to be there and also Lisa Kahayon but I think they have other commitments or needed an rv repair so they were not able to come.
