Chef Series at Eastwood Mall Atrium

I was invited to attend Eastwood Mall’s  Chef Series  where esteemed chefs will showcase their style of cooking.  The series started October 27 with Chef Jonathan Bautista of CCA/Cravings as the first to give tips to cooking enthusiast.  I wasn’t able to attend as this week was full.   I also wasn’t able to attend  Chef Jun Jun Ocampo of Blackwood Bistro.  But hopefully on November 16 I can attend as it will Chef Sau Del Rosario to give some amazing cooking tips.  How I wish there was a low cost conference call available so I can still see what’s happening or have an interview with the Chef guest for the Chef Series.

The Establishment at the Fort Strip

I was invited to an intimate dinner with the famous doctor to the stars Dr. Vicky Belo together with two of her two best clients and endorsers Zsazsa Padilla and Albert Martinez at the Establishment yesterday and it was a blast. I was with a very few bloggers only 6 of us there, the famous Chuvaness, Fashion Police, Shens, Liz, Eric, Bridget and me. Daphne Osnea was suppose to be there and also Lisa Kahayon but I think they have other commitments or needed an rv repair so they were not able to come.

Everything’s Fast Online & Delivered

Has the world gone lazy these days or are we all caught up in doing too many at a time that we want everything fast, onlije and delivered. Most of us don’ t actually give time to sit down that long and enjoy a hearty meal . When we do there’s always business involved.

We also want that restaurant to htave wifi so we can tweet or post on our social network the food we ate and our opinion of everything involved in that dining experience. That’s why most of us want a wilson cellular booster so our. Keeping intouch online doesn’t stop.

If we can’t sit down to dine we rather have it delivered to us. In my case I’m crippled at the moment so I want it delivered to me. There are times I don’t have time cooking or being lazy doing it so I opt for delivery online fast!

Jollibee Hashbrown Burger

Yesterday, I tried the Jollibee Hashbrown Burger and was surprised that it was good.  In fact its better than I expected even much better, way better than its competition from KFC’s version.  Jollibee has two hashbrown sandwiching a burger patty and cheese.  KFC’s has burger bun sandwiching a hashbrown, burger patty and cheese.

I love the fact that the hashrbrown was baked to perfection and its not so oily.  I thought I’d feel yucky eating it but I finished the entire burger!  I didn’t even feel icky eating a burger without a bun, this was the first time and I will have more of it I’m sure.  I really have to try Flapjacks’ soon for comparison.

I’m sorry the photo doesn’t give justice to how good it actually taste.  Will take a better shot soon so I can award the stainless steel necklace to the best Hashbrown burger in the country.

Spicy Potato Chips @ Mango Tree

Aside from burgers, chocolates and potatoes I’m such a chicheria/ potato chips lover. When I saw this served as appetizer/ pampamatid gutom at Mango Tree Bistro in Trinoma Mall yesterday, I was intrigued that I have to try it.

I thought it was banana chips or something very salty but it wasn’t it was Thai Potato Chips, honestly I dunno what they call them but since its spicy and their theme is Thai food I call it that. I love it! You should try soon!

Greenwich Fries

I love potatoes.  In fact when I was pregnant it was one of the food I crave for.  I would be content with having one potato dish every meal.  I like french fries, baked potato, hash brown, mashed potatoes, or potatoes in any meal like menudo , afritada and nilagang baka.

I also love McDonalds and Wendy’s Fries.   Until I discovered the Greenwich fries.  It’s different and its good I tell yah.

The cut is huge.  The flavor is different and its made of pure potatoes unlike the big bee’s fries, part of it is sweet potato and flour! I can tell!   You can also tell by trying their fries when its not hot anymore.  You can taste the starchiness!

I also like the chili sauce they include when they serve the fries! Its yummeh!  What’s amazing is its just Php20.00!

You should try it for your immediate annuity haha! What am I saying!

KFC Tower Burger

I know I told you I’m such a burger person, I like eating burgers and I like those giant ones with huge burger paties in it. So when I heard about this KFC Tower Burger I was intrigued, but I always forget to drop by a store and grab me one and see what the buzz is all about.

The KFC tower burger is made of a chicken patty, a hashbrown, a slice of cheese, some lettuce and their special burger sauce. It’s not as big as McDonalds Big Mac its a little cms shorter. It’s fat because of the hashbrown and the breading in the chicken patty.  The bread looks like Wendy’s Bacon Mushroom Melt sandwich!

Who did it taste? Its too oily and Uhmmm not so exciting as I thought, it needs more cheese and more special sauce and if possible less oil.

They should learn how not to deep fry the hashbrown to cook it. I like my hashbrown a little crunchy too this one lacks some crunch!

But the KFC Tower is much more better than the other burger they have without the bread in it but two chicken patties.

Nothing still beats my favorite burger store though the Big Better Burgers! Their burgers are huge, delicious and definitely the best among the rest I’ve tried so far!

If you want me to try your burgers, shoot me an email earthlingorgeous (@) hotmail.com! Nomnomnomnom!

P.S. please don’t put a diamond ring on my burger just because I said I love em! I might swallow it ! haha!

Pinoy Meryenda

We Filipino’s love to eat, we eat more than three times a day if we can. We love to eat something filling each every meal and in between like breakfast, coffee break, lunch, meryenda, dinner, and midnight snack!

Just like this Pinoy Meryenda I like to have ever so often, the sapin-sapin, palitaw and buchi!

They are made of the same main ingredients, sticky rice, and sugar! Yes! not meant for diabetics and those who want to diet but hey, its yummeh!

Its good to pair with softdrinks or coffee!
