Plantation Bay Resort and Spa in Cebu used to be exclusive to club members but now they have opened the option for day trippers to enjoy their luxurious facilities.
Entrance fee for day trippers is Php2,000 per person for adults and Php1,000 for kids 4 and up. For groups of 20 a discounted price of Php1,500 per person is charged while kids 3 below is free to enter.
Fee includes free use of all amenities in this more than 11 hectare of land resort and a free lunch at Kilimanjaro Cafe, one of the three restaurants in the venue.
The lunch includes an hefty appetizer, main course and ice cream.
For starters you will be given some bread and butter so you have something to tame your hunger a bit while they cook your order:

The usual choices for drinks like mango juice and orange juice (sadly not fresh fruit juices) soft drinks and shakes.

For appetizers they have a choice of Chicken and Beef Satay, Mixed Green Salad and Plantation Bay Cream Soup.

The Chicken and Beef Satay is good, I personally like the peanut butter sauce that comes with it.

For the main dish they have Bangus Belly, Lechon Kawali and Lemon Roast Half Chicken.

They have a separate menu for kids and a child can choose two dishes from the Children’s Menu. Choices include Patricks Nightmare (Fish Fingers served with fries); Spongebob’s Appetite (Spaghetti with meat sauce); Timmy’s Treat (Tender Fried Chicken Drumsticks) and Dora’s Adventure (Small ham and cheeze pizza).

Timmy’s Treat

Spongebobs Appetite
And the ice cream: Mango, Chocolate and Vanilla

Overall the serving was huge even if its free for day trippers it was worth it.
The ambiance at Kilimanjaro Kafe is very nice and the staff are all friendly. The location was also perfect, at the heart of the resort!
