A Filling Dinner At Yoshinoya

I really can’t resist when I am invited to a food event, the matakaw in me always prevail over the health conscious dieting me.  This time I was invited with several other food bloggers at Yoshinoya, one of the worlds most famous Japanese fast food and the most preferred Japanese  fast food restaurant in the country.

They are the only Japanese restaurant I know that don’t serve raw meat unlike the rest!

Their best seller is Beef Gyudon and I’m not surprised, the beef is so tender and tasty even without the sauce that comes along on the side when its served.

We were first served with their appetizers/side dish and of course Ebi Tempura was served (ooops forgot to ask how much a plate!)  I like their Ebi Tempura the breading does not overpower the shrimp.

I also love this Citrus Green Tea (eah forgot to ask the prize!) its so refreshing. They also have Apple Green Tea and the famous Red Iced Tea.

The Japanese Fried Chicken Wings were sold at  Php80.00 they said its just one of their side dish/ appetizer but I think its good as a main dish too.  It’s one of my favorite for that nights dinner.

The Fried chicken is good to pair with Karaage Sauce made of vinegar, leeches, leeks and carrots. Yummy!

The Chicken Teriyaki  served in two different sizes the Regular at Php90.00 and  the Large Php125.00 is their recommended dish for those on a diet because its made of chicken and vegetables.

But if you are Matakaw like me, then you should go for the Jumbo Plates!

If you are a fan of Siomai or Shu Mai then you should try their Shiitake Shu Mai  for Php50.00 with shitake mushroom and pork and  their Kani Shu Mai for P50.00 with crab meat.

Their desserts are sold frozen and in a plastic container which I found not so appealing but hey its a fast food and most Japanese fast food serve their desserts the same way.  I’m a dessert person so I find their desserts so so among the three that was served ; Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Mousse and Coffee Jelly Mousse the Coffee Jelly taste the best.
