I feel so lucky to be at the Nestle Philippines kitchen and have an actual cooking demo by their ingenious chef behind all the Nestle Philipines recipe.
This Papaya, Carrots and Fried wonton wrapper salad is Thai inspired because of the sweet-tangy vinegar sauce with crunchy fried wanton wrapper in place of the croƻton. I love how fresh the vegetables were and I love the mixture of flavors. Very refreshing.
Ingredients:
Grated Unriped Papaya
Grated Carrots
Chopped wansuy
Dried shrimp soak in warm water for 10 minutes
Siling Labuyo
Brown Sugar
Vegetable Oil
Vinegar
Maggi Magic Sarap
Patis (fish sauce)
Fried Wonton wrappers

Procedure:
Toss papaya, carrots and wansuy in a bowl. Set aside in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Using a mortar and pestle coarsely crush the hibe and siling labuyo together. Transfer in bowl. Add sugar and mix very well.
Whisk in oil, calamansi juice and vinegar into the mixture until fully incorporated
Season with Maggi Magic Sarap and patis to taste.
To assemble salad toss the prepared vegetables in the prepared dressing. Transfer on a plate and top with the fried wonton wrappers.
